Have a blast at the cricket today

So the day for the cricket is finally here and from all the pre-game buzz, it is definitely going to be a full house at the Providence Stadium for the first international one day match since the disastrous 2007 world cup.

England with their one win on this ground is one win ahead of the West Indies here, a stat that the local boys will look to correct by the end of this weekend. For those who will be at the game today (myself included), let's hope we have a great, incident free game of cricket while we are a part of the event that unites us all.

I hope that the Dj at the stadium shows up with the appropriate music today. No, I'm not talking about that 'daggering' crap. I mean "London bridge is falling down" and "We are the champions" by the tradewinds. It's been too long since the people in the caribbean have really had an opportunity to sing that song with pride.
Have a blast at the cricket...see ya there!
