Ms. Manickchand, I’ve had a few opportunities to meet you and I have always felt that you are truly one of the most genuine and sincere ministers in this pathetic government. I have nothing but deep admiration for the work you do in spite of the many challenges you face. No one can deny that you have faithfully and diligently performed your job to the best of your abilities.
However with the revelations made by the First Lady of this country, with regards to the systematic and cruel punishment doled out to her by her husband, your boss, you are now faced with an unenviable dilemma. How can you just ignore the accusations of Ms. Jagdeo and continue working for the man that was the source of all her abuse and torment? Isn't that the epitome of hypocrisy? doesn't that go against everything that you and your ministry stand for?
Unless, you publicly voice your dissenting opinion, rebuke the President, urge the nation to not follow his example, among other measures then you would be perceived as just another of the many hypocrites that litter the PPP regime and your position as Minister of Human Services will hold no credibility to the citizens of this country.
Do the right thing Ms. Manikchand.
