Priya Manickchand: You're more than a hypocrite

I am trying very hard to think of reasons why you are silent on the atrocities that the President committed on his former wife.

You must know that because of the words you often preached in the past, they are going to come back and haunt you for this. Is this how much you love this job? that you are willing to allow yourself to lose all respect and credibility? or maybe the benefits of this job are too staggering for you to risk. Whatever reason it is, it is now clear that your words are just like those of your colleagues, empty and false and that is sad. You should never, never, never again speak to the Guyanese people about abuse.

Of all the PPP ministers, you might just be the biggest disappointment of them all, and trust me that is no easy feat.

well well, i think this is more of a personal attack rather and objective criticism of the good minister.
manickchand happens to be one of the few ministers in the current administration that i respect. she has achieved alot in her time as minister. much more than her predecessor teacher bibi shaddick.
anyways enough of the the praises. the president and his wife's personal life ought to have remained that way. they are just like any other civilian in this respect. if varshnie was being abused she ought to have solicited the assistance of a lawyer and litigate her grievance at which time it would have been certainly proper for manickchand to comment on the issue. i agree with manickchand's stance on the issue which is to remain silent. it certainly does not concern her ministry at this point in time and she needs not pass judgment on other people's personal affairs as you would want her to do. this is the second comment im posting on your blog for the day so i would appreciate this also being approved by you.
