Mayor and Dysfunctional City Council

So I was just browsing the tele and saw this public service announcement from the dysfunctional Mayor and City Counselors (MCC) trying to reeducate people about the uses of plastic bags. Personally, I think this is necessary because as a country we use too many plastic bags, and we really need to start using biodegradable, recyclable/reusable bags made of cloth, canvas, paper etc (Kudos to Nigels Supermarket for ridding themselves of plastic) and it’s for that reason I support the MCC in this call, and I urge citizens to heed this call and try to avoid using many plastic bags.

Now back to the ad, first of all the presenter was ok-ish, as I said before, seems like everybody can get on TV these days, but to be fair, she was better than many, although at times she did remind me of that cookie monster from sesame street, especially her round googly eyes when she was repeating “1.5 Million”. Secondly, the math involved. Since the last census, a great number of persons have left these shores for greener, if not colder and whiter pastures so it’s foolish to think that we still have 750,000 persons in this country. Thirdly, the logic, even if there are 750,000 people in the country, all of them do not use at least two plastic bags daily, it is just impossible. Other than those, it was a just a super great Ad…
