Whilst taking a law-related exam at the University of Guyana, one student did the unthinkable – he cheated then ate the paper with the answers.
UG Student, one Mr. Delgado, probably couldn’t take the pressure of remembering the answers to some of the questions set out in the test and so he thought ahead and took the answers in with him. Quickly copying the answers, he probably worked fervently to get as much in as he could. Unbeknownst to him, the eagle-eyed invigilator was there to swoop in on the act. Mr Delgado was too swift for her though, and quickly scarfed down the piece of paper with 'hungish' intent. Then, when confronted, he had the nerve to ask the invigilator to ‘prove it’.
It’s an outrage and a shame to think that one such person – who probably aspires to be in the legal sector – would stoop so low as to cheat and then deny it even when he was caught red-handed. Then again, if he’s trying to become a lawyer then, realistically, he is already portraying some lawyer-esque qualities.
Mr Delgado, will still, however, be able to write future exams since no action has been taken against him. He's supposed to have a 'talk' with Mr Vincent Alexander, Deputy Registrar of the University of Guyana when he returns.
Ahh -- we develop such aspiring minds here in Guyana.
